Declaration Regarding the Handling of Personal Information

Credit Saison Co., Ltd. (the “Company”), guided by its management philosophy of being a “Service-Oriented Leading Company,” strives to provide valuable products and services through its comprehensive finance business, including the credit card business. Personal information is indispensable for the Company to provide its services, and we recognize that the secure management of personal information is the most critical responsibility entrusted to us.
The Company hereby declares that it will take all possible measures to protect personal information, keeping the following matters in mind:

  • 1. When handling personal information, the Company shall give full consideration to the protection of privacy and comply with laws, regulations, guidelines set by the government, and other norms.
  • 2. The Company shall establish internal systems such as employee training and internal controls for the appropriate handling of personal information, strive to strengthen and rectify system security, and continuously review and improve its personal information protection management system.
  • 3. Personal information received through application forms and other means shall be used within the scope of the purposes of use clearly stated in the “Consent Clauses Regarding the Handling (Collection, Retention, Use, and Provision) of Personal Information” for credit screening, post-credit management, and other related purposes, and shall not be handled beyond that scope. Furthermore, the Company shall take measures to ensure that personal information is not handled beyond the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
  • 4. Personal information registered with personal credit information agencies shall be used only for the purpose of appropriate credit screening.
  • 5. The Company shall strive to prevent and rectify unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of the personal information entrusted to us, and shall safely store and manage such information under strict control.
  • 6. When entrusting information to partner companies for the processing of entrusted personal information, provision of services, or improvement of convenience, the Company shall select parties that ensure sufficient protection of personal information and take necessary measures, such as entering into confidentiality agreements.
  • 7. The Company shall conduct regular internal audits and make every effort to implement and comply with this policy.

The Company has been granted the “PrivacyMark” certification by the JIPDEC (Japan Institute for Promotion of Digital Economy and Community). The PrivacyMark is granted to business operators that have been certified as handling personal information appropriately and serves as proof that the operator complies with the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS Q 15001) regarding personal information.
